Dear Mr. Calzado,
Good day to you again sir. I'll make my words sweet in case as the cliche goes I eat them later on.
I do not mean to flatter you but I admire people in government with dedication; and basing on the manner you answer the queries I must say I had that impression on you.
Or maybe this is in your job description. Whichever is the case, my hat off to you sir.
Now without prejudice to anybody, allow me to present occurences over the recent days when I called up the legal office that you frequently put up as reference to sensitive queries to wit:
FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, 3:45 PM - I dialled (02)924-33-70 introduced myself from Batangas City the HOA I belong to, and a very cordial sounding woman (they all are actually) answered me saying Atty. Manuel is not around and redirected me to this number (02)920-87-49 for appointments.
I called this number and it was ma'am Edith who told me that she will try to arrange for an appointment Tuesday for Atty. Manuel and courteously told me to call up Monday morning for confirmation. I asked her name and as she answered told me that I could also look for ma'am Neriz in case she was not around.
MONDAY, AUGUST 4, 11:00 AM - ma'am Neriz answered and told me that she was informed but unfortunately Atty. Manuel was not around yet and also informed me that the Atty. preferred appointments during the morning. So I said that would be fine then asked if she could set it up on Thursday. With the same polite tone she answered positively and asked me to call up the following day.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 5, 11:00 AM - ma'am Neriz again answered the phone and said that Atty. Manuel did not go to the office that morning and told me she might be able to talk to the Atty. soon and asked me to call up Wednesday for the Thursday appointment.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6, 3:45 PM - ma'am Neriz although still polite answered quite adamantly with a question on how I got the number for Atty. Manuel. I said in the internet. She the continued saying that the office would rather put all queries in written form and if I wanted they would refer me to another Atty. I said is there any possible way I could talk to Atty. Manuel personally since I said written forms are almost always misunderstood and that I would really need his advices personally. Again steadfastly she answered that I write my queries and they would send the answer to me by mail and that it was their protocol. Although in my mind I was quite indignant I softly said thank you ma'am Neriz and hung up.
Mr. Calzado, well people were brought up differently and I certainly should not expect the same dedicated formation that I suspect you may have, from other people.
Anyway, do you have another lawyer in mind?
